Ziegler Chemical, a company based in Piscataway, NJ is a producer of specialty compounds, coatings, adhesives, wire & cable compounds, electrical potting compounds & sealants containing asphalt, gilsonite, wax, epoxy, adsarylic, & polymer resins. Ziegler Chemical has been in business for nearly 100 years and is still owned by the Ziegler family. Their company website is a primary path for customers to find detailed information about what products are available for purchase. Unfortunately for Ziegler Chemical, their former website design was antiquated and had not changed for the past 20 years. Built on purely HTML code, their former website lacked a contemporary feature set compared to competing businesses and was difficult for their staff to maintain.

With the end goal to revamp their website from the ground up, KindTech agreed to take on the project. WordPress was chosen as a suitable CMS (Content Management System), along with a responsive theme that was flexible enough to apply modern web design principles while keeping the same “look and feel” design characteristics Ziegler Chemical had on their former website. With cost savings in mind, the static content from the Zieger Chemical’s former website was easily ported over to WordPress. A “Contact Us” form was added to give clients easy access to request sales information online. While considering Search Engine Optimization (SEO) KindTech implemented their standard protocol for WordPress sites. The intention is to help boost where the website appears when searching in Google, Bing and other popular search engines.

As a result, the new Ziegler Chemical website is a significant upgrade. Clients with mobile devices now have the ability to browse the website successfully, attracting more potential business for Ziegler Chemical. Since their new website is built on the WordPress CMS, KindTech offered complementary training for their staff which covers various day-to-day website management tasks. Successful knowledge transfer of these tasks now allow non-technical staff to manage their website without the need to hire an outside IT contractor. The day to day workflow of gathering client information has improved with the availability of a “Contact Us” form. This project is a clear success story!
